Growing in the New Year | 365 Project

Welcome 2010. Welcome to a whole new decade.

I’m loving the idea of the talented and ever-creative Ali Edward’s choosing just One Little Word for the year ahead. Did you pick your word yet? For 2010 I have chosen the word GROW.  This year I will focus on growing. Growing my business. Growing as a person and as a wife and mother. Nurturing my children as they themselves grow. Growing my skill set as a photographer. Growing the products and services I offer to clients.

As a professional photographer sometimes I forget to pick up my camera and take pictures of my own family and my daily experiences. As the New Year spreads out before me I am starting on a journey. This year I am going to begin a 365 photo project. This will involve taking almost daily photos and posting them here.  My goal is to end the year with 365 photos which I can use to make a photo book diary of 2010.  I am going to take Angie’s advice to heart and commit to intentionally picking up my camera and simply capturing my kids, our family and the world around us – without expectations, perfect smiles, or awkward poses.

Here is the first of many photos.
