Vancouver Home Newborn Photography | Max

My little blog has been just little bit neglected for the past few months. My family and I moved – twice in ONE month. Enough said!

Moving during the busiest time of year for a Family Photographer is crazy. Moving in the middle of the school year is crazy. Moving twice in one month is really crazy! But we are settling in and I have many, many sessions from this past Summer and Fall to share.

I will jump right in with Max. I loved the colour in this lifestyle newborn session and the relaxed feeling in his home. It was dreamy. Mom had put aside a few items with special meaning to incorporate into the session. The first is the bright mustard blanket and I really love the pop of colour, personality and joy it brings to the images. The second is the beautiful hand knit blanket created especially for Max by his aunt. This blanket was full of love. Max was so peaceful all swaddled in it. One of the images of Max on this blanket was recently selected as the 2013 image of the year.

This family is also in the middle of a move of their own and I hope these images from the time they spent in this apartment with their newborn son will bring them back into that moment and space. I know the images from my own newborn son’s session in our old home hold greater meaning to me now that we have moved into a new space. It’s funny how photos can do that!
